Labels may differ between clients: Different platforms and client versions may call the same option “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Profiles.” This guide covers the common workflow. If the labels differ, follow the instructions on the user panel’s downloads page rather than looking for an exact button name.
Create an Account and Save Your Credentials
First, open the account creation page in the SpaVPN user panel. SpaVPN does not require an email address; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but does not reveal sensitive personal information, and set a password you do not use on other websites. Check your entries before submitting to avoid accidentally including spaces from your input method or other characters in your username.
Once the page redirects, make sure you can access the account overview before continuing. We recommend saving your username and password in a trusted password manager. If you are using a shared device, do not let the browser keep you signed in indefinitely. If you already have an account, sign in with your existing credentials; there is no need to create another account just to set up a different device.
Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps. Being able to sign in means your account is ready; check your plan status to confirm that route subscriptions are available. Keep using this account and go to the plans page to choose a plan. You will also use this account to download clients, get your subscription, and check orders.
Choose a Plan and Review Your Order
Open the plans section in the user panel and first distinguish between monthly plans and data packages. Monthly plans are suited to ongoing use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. Check your plan record in the panel to see when your data will refresh.
If your usage varies, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Data does not expire and remains available until used. Unlimited devices means you can use the plan across different devices, but they all share the same data allowance. When choosing, consider combined usage for video, file transfers, and other devices—not just the number of devices.
After choosing a plan, open the order page and check the plan name, price, and billing method. Follow the on-screen instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the panel to check your order and plan status; do not start importing based only on a payment app’s confirmation. If the status has not updated, check the order again. Avoid submitting payment again just because the page takes a moment to refresh.
If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into the remaining days. SpaVPN offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for application details. Not sure whether to choose a monthly plan or a data package? Review the plans and pricing, then return to the user panel when you’re ready.
Get and Keep Your Subscription Link Secure
Once you have confirmed your plan status, open the account overview in the user panel and find the subscription section. The panel provides an option to access the subscription for your account. If it offers an import option for your client, use that. To import manually, copy the link and paste it into the client. Do not mistake the account overview URL in your browser’s address bar for a subscription link.
A subscription link lets a client retrieve route configurations; it is not a regular website URL. If opening it in a browser displays text, starts a download, or does not show a standard webpage, that alone does not mean the subscription is invalid. Check it in the client’s subscription or configuration list instead: after importing, you should see a configuration entry and be able to update it to retrieve the route list.
Your subscription link grants access to your account, so protect it like a password. Do not post it in public forums, enter it into online conversion tools, or include it in screenshots. When contacting support, do not send the full link. If you switch devices, get a fresh link from your own panel rather than relying on an old one in a chat history. If you suspect the link has been exposed, check the panel for a reset option or open a support ticket for help.
Example of a subscription link:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
This example shows the link format only and cannot be used to connect. Get your actual subscription from the user panel after signing in.
Install and Import by Platform
Next, open the downloads page in the user panel and choose your device’s operating system. After signing in, you can get the SpaVPN client for Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux without having purchased a plan. To connect, you still need an active plan and subscription. The iOS download option requires a purchased, unexpired plan. Follow the instructions shown on the downloads page; this guide does not provide static installer links.
In the steps below, “subscription” and “configuration” refer to where the client manages route settings. If the panel opens the client to import your subscription, make sure the correct app is receiving it before continuing. If it does not open the client, copy the link and import it manually; there is no need to keep clicking the same option.
Windows: Add a Link in Subscription Settings
Choose Windows on the panel’s downloads page and get the SpaVPN client according to your device and the on-screen instructions. Once installed, launch the app and look for an option such as Subscription Management, Configuration Management, or Profiles. Choose the option to add from a link or import a remote configuration, paste the subscription copied from the account overview, and give it a recognizable name.
After saving, update the subscription and wait for the route list to appear. Then set this configuration as the one currently in use. If the client offers a system proxy option, you can enable it following the default instructions. Enable modes that require additional system permissions only when you understand their purpose. If prompted for system permissions, verify the app’s source; do not disable system protections just to continue installation. Keep the default rule settings for now and move on to connection verification.
macOS: Confirm Permissions and Import the Configuration
Choose macOS on the panel’s downloads page, install the client as instructed, and launch it. The system may ask you to approve a network extension or add a VPN configuration. Check that the prompt refers to the client you just installed, then allow it in the relevant system settings. The option names may vary between system versions; follow the prompts shown by your device.
Return to the client, open the subscription or configuration list, and choose the option to add a configuration by URL. Paste your subscription, save it, and update. Once the routes appear, select the current configuration and connect. If you dismissed a permissions prompt during installation, try connecting from the client again and check system settings. Avoid repeatedly installing multiple copies of the app. For more on permissions, see the Mac VPN setup and subscription import guide.
Android: Import Your Subscription and Allow the VPN Connection
Choose Android on the panel’s downloads page and get the SpaVPN client. If your system prompts you when installing an app from the browser, grant permission only to the trusted source you are using for this installation. You can restore your previous permission settings once installation is complete. Open the client, choose link import from the subscription or configuration menu, paste your subscription, save it, and update.
When you select a route and connect, Android will ask you to confirm the VPN connection. This system permission allows the client to handle the relevant network traffic. Verify the app name and allow the connection, then return to the client to check its status. If the connection drops when you switch to another app, check whether the system is restricting its background activity. Adjust settings based on what you observe; there is no need to change every battery setting at the outset.
iOS: Get the Client from the Panel
On an account with an active plan, open the downloads page, choose iOS, and get the client using the App Store link provided. If the panel says you need an active plan, return to the plans and orders section to check your status rather than searching for an app with the same name on another website. After installing the client, launch it and return to the panel to use the compatible import option, or copy the subscription into the client’s subscription manager.
For manual import, look for an option such as Add Subscription, URL, or Remote Configuration. Paste the link, save, and update. On the first connection, you may need to allow the VPN configuration and complete device verification through the system. Once authorized, return to the app, select a route, and connect. The system status icon only shows that the VPN configuration is enabled; open the target website to confirm that it is accessible.
Linux users can also get the SpaVPN client from the panel’s downloads page and import a subscription as instructed. To compare protocol compatibility or learn about the differences between direct, relayed, and dedicated routes, see the protocol and routing technical reference. You can follow the default setup first; this background is not required to get started.
Connect to a Route and Verify It Works
Once the import is complete, update the subscription in the client and make sure you are using the configuration you just added—not an older one already in the app. Then choose a route that matches the region requirements of the target service and connect as instructed by the client. For your first setup, leave the protocol, rules, and DNS settings unchanged. Keeping the defaults makes it easier to identify where a problem occurs.
After connecting, check that the client shows a connected status, then open the website you want to use in your browser. If the browser is showing a previously failed page, reload it or open it again. A successful client connection does not mean every app uses the same network route. System proxy settings, app-specific settings, and rule modes can affect traffic, so verify access in the target app itself.
For AI tools and streaming services, a working network connection is only one part of the equation. Your account region, platform availability, content licensing, and the provider’s risk controls may also affect access. If a page loads but you cannot sign in, or the content differs from what you expect, the subscription may not be at fault. See our guides to accessing AI tools and streaming services, then choose a region that meets the service’s requirements.
Can't Connect? Troubleshoot Step by Step
First, disconnect the client temporarily and check that your local network can access the websites you normally use. Then check your plan status and remaining data in the panel. Next, update the subscription in the client and see whether it can retrieve the routes. If it cannot, first check that you copied the complete link and did not use the panel’s webpage URL; do not keep changing route settings.
If the configuration updates but the target website will not open, try another route from the list and check again. Make sure no other proxy app is handling your network at the same time. Change one setting at a time and note the results so you can see what made a difference. When submitting a support ticket, include your device’s operating system, the client’s error message, the selected route, and what you were doing when the issue occurred. Before sharing a screenshot, hide your subscription link, password, and payment details.
Once you have verified the connection, everyday use is simple: open the client, check the configuration, choose a route, and connect. You can use the same account across devices, but they share a single data allowance. When switching devices or reinstalling the client, get your current subscription from the panel. Find answers about connections, speed, and billing in the Help Center. If you need assistance, open a ticket in the user panel rather than repeatedly changing advanced settings without knowing what they do.
